Established in 1981 The Grange has a renowned reputation
worldwide for its residential cookery courses. William and Jane Averill
work together to create a warm, friendly atmosphere in a beautiful
rural environment.
The Grange has been run since 1988 by Jane, with
her Australian husband, Will, joining her in 1995 after they met
when he was a student on the Essential Cookery Course. They have
travelled extensively throughout the world, lived in Sydney, and
enjoy bringing a wealth of wisdom about food and eating to The Grange.
Jane’s background in farming and agriculture
fuels her passion for fresh local ingredients – home grown
where possible. In the heart of the countryside, classic flavours
mix with contemporary style.
